DETROIT, Michigan, Aug. 2 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, Dawn N. Ison, issued the following news release:

Eleven residents of southeast Michigan have been charged in a 23-count indictment for their alleged role in a multi-million-dollar unemployment insurance fraud scheme targeting funds set aside for unemployment assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic, announced United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison.
