The Western Lake Erie Basin is predicted to have a small to moderate harmful algal bloom (HAB) with a severity between 2 and 4.5 out of 10, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) 2023 Forecast released today. Scientists predict the 2023 bloom will be smaller than last year's 6.8 bloom due to an unusually low amount of precipitation . . .
