Mitt Romney, R-Utah, ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight, issued the following opening statement at a hearing on June 14, 2023, entitled "Examining the Findings and Recommendations of GAO's 2023 Report on Opportunities to Reduce Fragmentation, Overlap, and Duplication and Achieve Financial Benefits." GAO is the Government Accountability Office.
