WASHINGTON, May 12 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release and letter:

Congressman John Moolenaar and other members of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are demanding answers from TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew about why TikTok censored the Acton Institute, a Grand Rapids think tank. The Institute's account was suspended last week when it posted videos about Jimmy Lai, a jailed journalist and pro-democracy activist in Hong Kong.
