WASHINGTON, June 25 -- Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, issued the following news release on June 24, 2021:
Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-02) and Mary Gay Scanlon (PA-05) introduced the bipartisan Courtroom Dogs Act. This bipartisan and bicameral legislation would grant the Department of Justice (DOJ) the authority to develop best practice guidelines for the use of specially trained dogs in federal courts to support trauma victims during testimony.
