WASHINGTON, June 20 -- Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Michigan, issued the following statement in recognition of World Refugee Day:
"As we observe and recognize World Refugee Day, we must reflect on where we are as a country on being a welcoming and inviting place for those escaping violence, persecution, and inhumane conditions in their home countries.
