CONCORD, New Hampshire, June 19 -- The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:
A cyanobacteria bloom has been observed on Willand Pond in Dover and Somersworth, NH. Samples collected from a shoreline cove exceeded the State threshold of 70,000 cells/ml of cyanobacteria. Samples contained a mix of cyanobacteria taxa; Anabaena/Dolichospermum and Planktothrix/Oscillatoria were estimated as 673,500 cells/ml from areas observed as surface scu . . .
