WASHINGTON, June 19 -- Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Gary Peters, D-Michigan, issued the following joint statement after the committee advanced the Government Shutdown Accountability Act at a business meeting on a 10-2 vote:
