WASHINGTON, June 19 -- Rep. Kay Granger, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after opposing the Democrats' appropriations bill (H.R. 2740) that includes Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, Defense, State and Foreign Operations and Energy and Water Development:
