JUNEAU, Alaska, Aug. 31 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's U.S. Forest Service unit - Tongass National Forest - issued the following news release:
The Lena Beach Recreation Area will re-open this Saturday, September 1, 2018, just in time for Labor Day weekend! Originally built in the 1950's, the area had significantly deteriorated until a major renovation began in October of 2017.
The $1.3 million project was awarded to Sealaska, who recently completed the install . . .
