Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology Completes Inventory of Native American Human Remains to Chinik Eskimo Community
WASHINGTON, April 18 (TNSFR) -- The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology (PMAE) at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has completed an inventory of human remains in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
The remains were collected from various locations across Alaska and Oregon, including the Office of Indian Affairs, Field Service, Nome Census Area, and the Chemawa (Salem) Indian School in Oregon. A total of 23 human remains ha
