Justice Dept.: Maryland Business Owner Pleads Guilty for Scheme to Bribe Texas-Based U.S. Customs and Border Protection Official
WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- The U.S. Department of Justice issued the following news release on Nov. 7, 2024:
A Maryland man pleaded guilty today for his role in a bribery scheme to give kickbacks to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official in exchange for the official's efforts to influence the award of lucrative federal contracts.

National Capital Planning Commission Approves Joint Base Andrews Child Development Center Preliminary Plans
WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- The National Capital Planning Commission issued the following news release:
At its November 7, 2024 meeting the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) approved preliminary site and building plans for a Child Development Center at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, Maryland. Plans submitted by the U.S. Department of Defense are for a new 23,000 square foot facility. It will be located at the intersection of Arkansas Road and California Avenue in the Installation's Adm
