Hot and dry is the new normal as drought returns to impact Oklahoma agriculture
STILLWATER, Oklahoma, Oct. 28 -- Oklahoma State University issued the following news:
The latest drought monitor map from the Oklahoma Mesonet shows dry conditions intensifying, and 34 counties are currently under a burn ban.

Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez Helps Secure $26.3M to Expand Rail Capacity at Port of Kalama
WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 -- Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Washington, issued the following news release on Oct. 29, 2024:
Today, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03), along with Sens. Patty Murray (WA) and Maria Cantwell (WA), helped secure a $26,323,286 grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation's CRISI Program to expand rail capacity to the Port of Kalama's TEMCO Export Grain Terminal.
