Augie Schmidt IV to Retire as Carthage Baseball Head Coach After 2025 Season
KENOSHA, Wisconsin, Oct. 3 -- Carthage College issued the following news:

Augie Schmidt IV, a Carthage legend and the driving force behind the College's baseball program for nearly four decades, announced he will retire after the 2025 season.
* * *
Coach Schmidt joined the Carthage coaching staff in 1987, becoming head coach in 1988. He begins his final season with a 1002-551-5 record.
Assistant Coach John Lequia '09 will succeed Coach Schmidt as head coach.
