League of Women Voters: Voting Rights Groups Defend Alabamians Against Illegal Voter Roll Purge
WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- The League of Women Voters issued the following news release on Sept. 19, 2024:
Today, the League of Women Voters of Alabama, the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice, the Alabama State Conference of the NAACP, filed a lawsuit on behalf of four individual Alabamians who have been unfairly targeted by the state's illegal voter purge. The plaintiffs were represented by Fair Elections Center, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
