Cadet Morgan Sobota traveled with the Hokies to receive the flags at Saturday's football game at Old Dominion.

Pennsylvania Army National Guard Lt. Col. David Clay Jr., a 2002 Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets alumnus who earned his degree in political science from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, was selected as the Hokie Hero for Saturday's football game against Old Dominion.

On September 14, 2024 at about 1:58 a.m., the Virginia Tech Police Department received a report of an assault in progress in the area of Moss Arts Center, 190 Alumni Mall, that involved the possible brandishing of a knife.
