Dayton Public Schools: COVID-Relief Spending Report - August 2024
DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 13 -- Dayton Public Schools issued the following news:
Over the last few years, the Dayton Public School District has received COVID-relief funds from the federal government. These funds, often referred to as "ESSER" funds (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) or "ARP" funds (American Rescue Plan), have been used to keep students and staff safe during the pandemic, and to help students catch up academically after a period of disrupted learning in 2020 and 2021.

Enrollment at Wright State Climbs for Third Consecutive Year
KENT, Ohio, Sept. 13 -- Wright State University issued the following news:

The number of first-time undergraduate students at Wright State University has increased by 44% over the last three years and is up 17.5% compared to fall 2023.
Wright State welcomed 2,012 first-time undergraduate students for the fall 2024 semester, compared to 1,394 students in the fall of 2021 and 1,713 last year.
