WASHINGTON, Sept. 5 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release on Sept. 3, 2024:
LENEXA, KANSAS (SEPT. 3, 2024) - Food producer Hiland Dairy Foods Company LLC of Norfolk, Nebraska, has agreed to pay a $93,107 civil penalty to resolve alleged violations of the federal Clean Air Act's chemical risk prevention provisions.

Media Alert: Low-level airplane flights to image geology over parts of Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa
WASHINGTON, Sept. 5 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey issued the following news release:
RESTON, Va. Low-level airplane flights are planned over a broad region of Nebraska, Kansas, and a small portion of Iowa to image geology using airborne geophysical technology.
The survey will be conducted starting in August 2024 and will last approximately 15 months, weather and wildfire restrictions permitting.
