WASHINGTON, July 30 -- The Naval Sea Systems Command issued the following news: MARINETTE Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), USS Nantucket (LCS 27), was delivered to the U.S. Navy, July 29. Nantucket was accepted from Lockheed Martin at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin. Delivery follows the successful completion of Acceptance Trials in December 2023.
