PORTLAND, Maine, July 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine issued the following news release:
A Lowell, Massachusetts man was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Portland for distributing and possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine and conspiring to distribute and possess methamphetamine.

PORTLAND, Maine, July 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine issued the following news release:
A North Berwick man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Portland today to filing fraudulent applications for loans from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
According to court records, between April 2020 and September 2021, Frederick Avery, 49, submitted two applications for PPP loans that claimed he was the 100% owner of Superior Cruise and Travel LLC. Avery sold the
