Ark. U.S. Attorney: Methamphetamine Traffickers Sentenced to a Combined 368 Months in Prison
TEXARKANA, Arkansas, June 22 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas issued the following news release on June 21, 2024:
A central Arkansas man and woman were sentenced yesterday to a combined total of more than 30 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking and related crimes. The Honorable Chief Judge Susan O. Hickey presided over the sentencing hearings, which took place in the United States District Court in Texarkana.

Disaster Recovery Center Opens in Madison County
WASHINGTON, June 21 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency issued the following news release:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- FEMA and the State of Arkansas will open a Disaster Recovery Center in Huntsville on Saturday, June 22 through Monday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to provide one-on-one help to Arkansans affected by the May 24-27 severe storms. Additional dates and times may be added.

USDA Announces Approval of D-SNAP for Arkansas Disaster Areas
WASHINGTON, June 21 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that low-income Arkansas residents recovering from the severe storms and tornadoes beginning May 24, 2024, could be eligible for a helping hand from the USDA's Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).
