Capito Delivers Funding for Projects Across West Virginia
WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced resources from several federal agencies for projects that will bolster health services, economic development, infrastructure, education programs, environmental cleanup, and public housing projects across West Virginia.

W.Va. U.S. Attorney: Former FCI Beckley Correctional Officer Sentenced to Prison for Contraband Crime
BECKLEY, West Virginia, May 17 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia issued the following news release on May 16, 2024:
Cody Adam Bays, 32, of Beaver, was sentenced today to one year and six months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for providing contraband to an in inmate of a federal prison.
