N.C. U.S. Attorney: Husband Charged With Wife's 2013 Murder in Indian Country Appears in Federal Court
ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, April 10 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina issued the following news release on April 9, 2024:
A Swain County man is facing a federal charge for allegedly killing his wife in 2013, announced Dena J. King U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.
Ernest D. Pheasant, Sr., 46, an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), is charged with one count of first-degree murder in Indian Country. P
