Election Board, Employee Disputes Tribunal Members Sworn-In
MAYETTA, Kansas, Dec. 2 -- The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news:
Today during a brief ceremony, Gea Aitkens was sworn in as the newest member of the Election Board; Cecelia "Shobwas" Ceja and Leonard Allen were sworn in as new members of the Employee Disputes Tribunal.
PBPN Tribal Chairman Joseph "Zeke" Rupnick officiated the swearing-in.

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation: Mitchell and Other Community Members Run "The Hawk" Marathon
MAYETTA, Kansas, Dec. 2 -- The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news on Dec. 1, 2023:
Five community members completed a marathon at the 13th Annual Hawk race event in Lawrence, Kan., on September 9, 2023. The Hawk consists of four races: the marathon, the 50-mile, the 75-mile, and the 100-mile.
This marathon, which was a trail race, was the first marathon for Joe Mitchell, who is a PBPN member, Potawatomi Tribal Gaming Commissi
