American Pistachio Growers Group Cuts Ties With Notorious Iditarod Musher After Push From PETA
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 20 -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals issued the following news release:
After hearing from PETA and more than 60,000 concerned dog defenders, trade association American Pistachio Growers pulled its sponsorship of Iditarod champion Dallas Seavey, who has raced dogs who have tested positive for opioids, operates a kennel that was accused of killing dogs who didn't make the grade, and owns property where a whistleblower reported finding dying puppies.

Center for Biological Diversity: Lawsuit Launched to Stop Bering Sea Trawl Nets From Killing Orcas
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 26 -- The Center for Biological Diversity issued the following news release:
The Center for Biological Diversity filed a formal notice today of its intent to sue the National Marine Fisheries Service for failing to protect marine mammals from being killed by the Bering Sea Aleutian Islands groundfish trawl fisheries.
