Delmarva Chicken Association: Court Ruling Affirms Md. Chicken Farm Permits are Legal and Effective
GEORGETOWN, Delaware, Aug. 12 -- Delmarva Chicken Association issued the following news on Aug. 11, 2023:
The Maryland Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a livestock farm water quality permit written by the Maryland Department of the Environment that had been challenged in court by environmental activists. The appellate court's ruling also found that MDE's best management practices-based regulatory framework for the state's permit was "reasonable" and "consistent with federal and state law."

Nature Conservancy in Pennsylvania & Delaware Announces Acquisition and Transfer of 5 Acres at Boyd Big Tree Preserve
ARLINGTON, Virginia, Aug. 12 -- The Nature Conservancy issued the following news release on Aug. 10, 2023:
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in Pennsylvania and Delaware today announced that it has closed on the purchase of five acres in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and transferred the parcel to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR).
The new acquisition links two existing sections of the Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: 115 ac
