University of Alaska, Proposed Graduate Student Union Reach Settlement on Bargaining Unit

The University of Alaska (UA) and the United Auto Workers (UAW) today signed a settlement agreement concerning which students are eligible to be part of a proposed graduate student employee union. Paleontologists working in northern Alaska have discovered a tiny fossil mammal that thrived in what may have been among the coldest conditions on Earth about 73 million years ago.
