WASHINGTON, July 9 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that U.S. Army Corporal Jesse L. Mitchell, 22, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for Apr. 8, 2024.
In Dec. 1950, Mitchell was a member of C Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He went missing in action after his unit enga . . .
