Salinas, Blumenthal Introduce Bicameral Bill to Combat Gambling Addiction, Promote Treatment

WASHINGTON, Jan. 13 -- Rep. Andrea Salinas, D-Oregon, issued the following news release on Jan. 12, 2024:

Today, U.S. Representative Andrea Salinas (OR-06) and U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) introduced the Gambling addiction Recovery, Investment, and Treatment (GRIT) Act, legislation that would create the first-ever federal funding stream dedicated to helping prevent, treat, and study gambling addiction in the United States.
