DAVENPORT, Iowa, Oct. 19 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa issued the following news release on Oct. 18, 2024:
A Davenport man was sentenced today to 15 years in federal prison for possessing a distribution quantity of methamphetamine.
According to public court documents, Richard James Murphy, 42, sold an ounce of methamphetamine to a confidential source in August 2023. Four days later, law enforcement executed a state search warrant at Murphy's Davenport res

Iowa U.S. Attorney: Des Moines Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Federal Prison for Possessing Meth, Fentanyl, and Firearm
DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 19 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa issued the following news release on Oct. 18, 2024:
A Des Moines man was sentenced yesterday to 25 years in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine, fentanyl, and a firearm.
In June 2024, a federal jury convicted Dylan Pettyjohn, 33, of possessing distribution quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and possessing a firearm as a felon and carrying it in relation to his drug trafficking.
