ALBANY, New York, Oct. 9 -- Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-New York, issued the following news release on Oct. 8, 2024:
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that 221 State and local government workers have been deployed to the southern United States to assist communities in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia to help with response and recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.
