Ky. U.S. Attorney: Boyd County Man Sentenced for Illegal Possession of Firearm and Fentanyl Trafficking Charges
ASHLAND, Kentucky, July 10 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky issued the following news release on July 9, 2024:
An Ashland, man, Christopher Prince, 43, was sentenced on Monday, by U.S. District Judge David Bunning, to 205 months for distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Yuma's First Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program Led by Former Military Freefall School Officer
FORT KNOX, Kentucky, July 10 -- The U.S. Army Cadet Command issued the following news:

The Army's presence in what is now Yuma County dates back to the 1840s.
Until now, however, the community has never had an Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program.
That changes on August 1, when the first Army JROTC program at Yuma High School begins with more than 100 cadets.
